Press Release:  First Service completes computer networking upgrade for 25 Triangle Rent a Car locations.

First Service completes upgrade of 25-location reservations network for Triangle Rent a Car. Triangle Rent a Car operates offices in NC, SC, and VA using a load balanced Windows Terminal Server based system from their headquarters location in Raleigh. The original system, initially installed by First Service in 1998, used multiple Windows NT servers running Terminal Services and NCD load balancing. The new system employs multiple new Windows Server 2003 Servers operating Clustering Services, Terminal Services, and dedicated database and transactional web servers. The network supports approximately 150 remote terminals communicating over secure VPN and frame relay connections.
